If (filament current) adjustment procedure

Remotely fine-tune the X-ray tube's filament current (If) through the XC maintenance program's If Adjustment screen — across the tube-voltage/focus-size/mA combinations selected — so tube current rises smoothly at exposure start, without connecting an oscilloscope to the XC PWB, and without the Over mA / Over If errors an incorrect If value causes.

Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A). Applies to the "remote If adjustment" method (source subsection 7.1.1), which requires a PC terminal running the XC maintenance program version 3.0 or later connected to CN610 of the GCIFA or CNN711 of the XC (see subsection 8.4). Source states this method does not require connecting an oscilloscope to the XC PWB.
Personnel
Intermediate — requires operating the XC maintenance program's If Adjustment / Exposure Test / Parameter adjustment screens (selecting kV/focus-size/mA conditions, running Auto Exposure), recognizing an Over If error and recovering through the Error Clear -> Details -> Parameter adjustment path, judging from the If waveform (Signal Show, subsection 8.4.11) whether to raise or lower the entered IF value, and confirming the two end-of-procedure prompts (interpolate unadjusted data; store to XC memory). (Skill assessment derived from procedure content — not an OEM-stated skill level.)
