X-ray tube alignment (front/rear and left/right)
Check, and if needed correct, the X-ray tube's front/rear (longitudinal) and left/right alignment — measuring each axis with the Alignment software against a fixed tolerance, then moving the tube by turning adjusting bolts on its mounting plate while reading a dial gauge — per Appendix 28.5 ("Tube Alignment") of the Installation manual, the method Section 18 of the main installation flow defers to.
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A) — Installation manual (source 2C201-160), Appendix 28.5 ("Tube Alignment"), p.188-192 — the method Section 18 ("X-ray Tube Alignment") of the main installation flow points to when it states only the pass/fail check.
Personnel
Intermediate — running the Alignment software's front/rear ("Scan to calculate") and left/right (0.75-s scan at the small focus, then the large focus) measurement functions, positioning a pin phantom so the center of the pin aligns with the gantry rotation center, and physically repositioning the X-ray tube: loosening the fixing bolts to free the tube mounting plate, then turning the adjusting bolts by a calculated number of turns while reading a dial gauge mounted on the oil cooler.
