Check phantom position, run the test scan and check tube alignment

Before handing an Aquilion 16 over to the customer, seat the water phantom correctly in its holder, confirm the projector's beam still lines up with the phantom's center line, run the system's first post-installation test scan (scanoscopy, scanoplan, and a full scan), and check the X-ray tube's front/rear and left/right alignment — per Sections 16 through 18 of the Installation manual.

Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A) — Installation manual (source 2C201-160), Sections 16 ("Checking the Position of the Phantom"), 17 ("Test Scan"), and 18 ("X-ray Tube Alignment")
Personnel
Mixed adjustment/verification work across four short sub-procedures: (16.1) loosening the phantom holder's fixing screw and its four Duracon-plate mounting screws, then working a bladed screwdriver into the gap between the left and right Duracon plates from the front and rear of the couch to widen it until the gap against the couch's holder-mounting section is eliminated, and re-tightening; (16.2) tilting the gantry off and back to its 0° position, turning on the projector, and turning the sag-adjustment screw until the projector's light beam lines up with the phantom's center line, for every phantom; (17) running the system's own eXam Plan abdomen protocol through scanoscopy, scanoplan (ROI placement per phantom size, first-slice couch-top positioning), and a full scan, confirming an image is displayed at each imaging stage; and (18) a front/rear and left/right X-ray tube alignment check whose own measurement/adjustment method is not given in this section — it only states the pass/fail check and points to subsection 28.5 for the procedure. No meter, torque value, or software screen is named in sections 16-18 themselves beyond the sag-adjustment screw and the phantom holder's own fasteners. (Skill assessment derived from the procedure's content — not an OEM-stated skill level.)
