X-ray tube If adjustment (remote)
Remotely fine-tune the X-ray tube's filament current (If) through the XC maintenance program's If Adjustment screen — across the tube-voltage/focus-size/mA combinations selected — so tube current rises smoothly at exposure start, without connecting an oscilloscope to the XC PWB, and without the Over mA / Over If errors an incorrect If value causes.
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A) — installation volume 2C201-160, Appendix 28.4, "If Adjustment" (p.184-187), subsection 28.4.1 "Remote If adjustment." This is the full walkthrough that Section 15.2, "If adjustment — pointer" (p.126), sends the commissioning engineer to by name; it runs during initial system installation/commissioning, in the same slot where the identical procedure also lives in the X-ray & HV service volume (see Related).
Personnel
Intermediate — the same screen-driven skill as the X-ray & HV volume's remote If-adjustment procedure (Related): operating the If Adjustment / Exposure Test / Parameter adjustment screens, selecting the tube-voltage/focus-size/mA combinations to adjust, running Auto Exposure, and recognizing and recovering from an Over If error (Error Clear -> Details -> corrected IF value, the raise/lower direction judged from the If waveform via Signal Show) versus any other error (Error Clear -> Start, no detour). During commissioning this normally follows the X-ray-tube warm-up/rotor check (source §15.1) and precedes the tube-voltage/tube-current oscilloscope check (source §15.4). (Skill assessment derived from procedure content — not an OEM-stated skill level.)
