Bring the patient couch and console into position
Bring the patient couch off its shipping skid and the console's CPU BOX/REC BOX into the scanner and console rooms, protecting the couch's angle-adjustment bolts and the console's precision electronics along the way.
Safety
Hazard: striking the angle-adjustment bolts located at the four corners of the patient couch's lower frame while bringing the couch in
Consequence: the bolts may be damaged if hit
Avoidance: take special care not to hit the angle-adjustment bolts at the four corners of the lower frame during bringing-in
Hazard: bringing the console in on its own chassis casters instead of on a cart
Consequence: unnecessary vibration in transit may cause the console — a precision machine — to malfunction
Avoidance: bring the console in on a cart; do not bring it in on the chassis with casters; use the casters only for movement within the CT console room
