Troubleshoot streak-shower artifacts
Work this decision tree when a scan shows a streak or shower artifact: isolate whether the streak is channel-dependent with DCA and the sinogram, then follow the Converter-16 PWB swap, the DCA/DAS TEST pattern, the reference-channel/detector check, and the offset-SD and DAS-supply-voltage checks to the probable cause named in Figure 5.4-19 (source 2D201-065E*D, p.81).
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A) — data acquisition section (DAS) volume 2D201-065, subsection 5.4.3 "Flowchart for each troubleshooting," the streak-shower fault-isolation flowchart (Figure 5.4-19, source p.81). Use this atom when the image itself shows a streak or shower artifact; for a ring image, a shifted CT number, or a large image SD, use the sibling flowcharts in Related instead.
Personnel
1 technician · Intermediate — reading a DCA sinogram to judge channel-dependence, physically moving/exchanging Converter-16 PWBs between DAS slots (noting the JP post setting), running the DCA/DAS TEST pattern, and reading offset-SD and DAS-supply-voltage checks against their standard ranges; the flowchart's own escalation points name the Control-16 PWB, OPCONTA PWB, and the DAS-to-OPCONTA cable rather than a further field repair (skill assessment derived from the flowchart's own content — not an OEM-stated skill level).
