Couch slide servo amplifier operation and maintenance tool (CBTB-016A/016B)
Understand how the KGTSM and the couch slide servo amplifier drive and supervise the Aquilion 16 patient couch's horizontal (IN/OUT) movement, recognize a slide servo error from the amplifier's own status LEDs, and — for the deeper checks — install and run the PC-based PANATERM maintenance tool to read status, parameters, and alarms directly from the amplifier.
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A) — patient couch CBTB-016A/016B, slide (horizontal/longitudinal) servo amplifier and its PC-based maintenance tool (PANATERM); gantry/couch control volume 2D201-063, source subsections 9.5.1-9.5.3. The parallel maintenance-tool procedure for the other couch variant, CBTB-014A, is a separate source subsection (9.7) not covered by this atom — see Related.
Personnel
1 technician · Intermediate — reading the Verification worked example requires following the servo loop's instruction-pulse/feedback-pulse arithmetic (pulses/mm, quadrature ×4, reduction ratio); running the maintenance tool itself is period PC software installation and menu navigation (floppy-disk setup on Windows 2000/XP, then Parameter/Monitor/Alarm menus over a serial communication cable) — no special electrical test equipment. Reading the amplifier's own status/alarm LEDs (see 'Identify a slide servo error' below) needs no PC at all (skill assessment derived from procedure content — not an OEM-stated skill level).
