ProcedureGantry/RotationAdjust
Adjust the MR sensor and MR sensor PWB
Fine-adjust the gantry's MR sensor and MR sensor PWB — reading rotation-pulse voltages at the PWB's test pins and trimming four potentiometers (VR1-VR4) — when rotation vibration, stoppage noise, or speed data has gone abnormal, following the S/N Axxxxx procedure (§7.8.1, which opens with a mechanical clearance check) or the S/N Bxxxxx procedure (§7.8.2, electrical adjustment only), depending on the gantry's serial-number prefix.
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A). This atom covers two serial-number variants documented separately in source: gantry serial numbers "S/N Axxxxx" follow the §7.8.1 procedure (Steps — S/N Axxxxx below, which opens with a clearance-gauge check); "S/N Bxxxxx" follow the §7.8.2 procedure (Steps — S/N Bxxxxx below, which has no clearance check — source states the S/N B gap is fixed at the factory). Confirm the gantry's serial-number prefix before starting either step group.
Personnel
1 technician · Intermediate — requires commanding the gantry to rotate at a precise speed in maintenance mode from a terminal connected to the KGTSM PWB, switching a digital multimeter between AC-range/effective-value and DC-range/effective-value across two test-pin pairs, and turning four adjustment potentiometers (VR1-VR4) on the MR sensor PWB with a precision screwdriver until readings fall inside narrow voltage windows (source specifies ranges as tight as 0.31-0.39 V and a DC null of approximately 0 V). The S/N A variant (§7.8.1) additionally requires reading a clearance gauge to confirm a 1 mm ±0.5 mm mechanical clearance before starting.
