Set up an imager (DICOM or Toshiba protocol) with the Setup Utility preset tool
Register an imager — DICOM or Toshiba protocol — with the Setup Utility's Imager preset function: point the hosts file (and, for a DICOM imager, the DICOM print service) at the imager, then build a preset that ties together a performance file, the imager's identity, and a Station-ID-to-Directory mapping.
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A) — Software volume 2D260-074E*B, Section 9.3 "Imager Setting Procedures" (p.170-173): 9.3.1 "Host setting procedure" and 9.3.2 "Imager setting procedures." Covers registering either a DICOM imager or a Toshiba-protocol imager through the Setup Utility's Imager preset function — source branches the host-setup step by imager type (see Steps). Does not cover the underlying hosts-file/DICOM-network mechanics themselves (Chapter 8, "NETWORK SETTING," cross-referenced by 9.3.1 — see Related), nor the Toshiba-protocol-only continuation source sends the reader to at "subsection 9.4.2," which falls outside this excerpt's p.170-173 page range and is not covered by this atom.
Personnel
Basic to intermediate — editing a plain-text hosts file in Notepad; adding a DICOM print service through the DICOM network setting tool; and navigating the Setup Utility's Imager preset windows (New > preset name > Detail > performance file/imager selection > Imager Info password > Set), including splitting a 10-digit Station ID into an 8-digit and a 2-digit segment to build the matching Directory-field path. No board-level work or test equipment is involved. (Skill assessment derived from procedure content — not an OEM-stated skill level.)
