Configure DICOM connectivity: hosts, services, transfer syntax, timeouts, language
Set up a DICOM communication partner end to end — register its address, add it as a host in the DICOM connection tool, choose its services and transfer syntax, tune the timeouts and warning behavior, and (if needed) its display language.
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A). Source addresses this whole section to 'the image processing system,' termed the 'local system' throughout: local system's host name = the image processing system's host name; local system's IP address = the image processing system's IP address. Source volume 2D260-074E*B, p.117-131 (Chapter 8 "DICOM Connection", Section 8.2, "Installation Manual for A-Series CT Scanner System"). Source's own caution at the top of this section states that Toshiba-protocol network connections with external systems must be set up only at the image processing system, never at the image acquisition system — reproduced here as printed even though this section's own heading is "DICOM Connection" rather than "Toshiba protocol" (see Safety).
Personnel
Configuration/software — text-file editing (Notepad) and command-line tool launches, plus GUI field entry across several nested dialogs (Host / Edit Service / Edit Transfer / Edit Warning / Association Timeout / Service Timeout windows); no board-level work or physical tooling. Two field values (AE title, port number) are not site-determined but must be obtained from the printer/imager manufacturer before starting. (Skill assessment derived from procedure content — not an OEM-stated skill level.)
