Isolate an abnormal channel or artifact using the DCA sinogram
Bring up a DCA sinogram — from either a fresh acquisition or raw data already on hand — tune its display until the ROI readout is trustworthy, then use that readout to tell whether an artifact is reading out as a streak (abnormal count *values*) or a ring (abnormal count *lines* running the view direction) before chasing either one further.
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A) — DCA (Data Collection Analyzer) software, source volume 2D260-074, §2.4.4 "Sinogram check" (p.35-37), the last of the four checks in the 2.4 "DCA Test procedures" group (Related).
Personnel
1 technician · Intermediate — the engineer operates the DCA console (command-box [Scan], the keyboard's [Auto] key, [Acq. Detail] or [Raw File], the Pre Proc menu, [Sino], and the Zoom icon) to bring up a sinogram with its ROI data-value readout, tunes Center/Compression when the display does not render correctly, and then supplies the diagnostic judgment itself — unlike the DCA's other test-pattern/offset/output checks, this one has no automated pass/fail readout; it only maps two abnormal-image patterns (streak artifacts, ring artifacts) to two abnormal data-value patterns on the sinogram, and the engineer connects the two. (Skill assessment derived from the check's own content — not an OEM-stated skill level.)
