Interlock test procedures: HEIGHT/TILT/SLIDE limits, tape/mat switches, auto-home, auto-set — A.4

Run every gantry/couch interlock by hand — each HEIGHT/TILT/SLIDE limit, the gantry tape and mat switches, and the auto-home and auto-set (footswitch) functions — and confirm each one stops the intended motion and drives the exact indicator/lamp response the appendix specifies: Appendix A.4, the hands-on test method that periodic gantry inspection item 1.37 directs the technician to perform.

Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A). This section (A.4) continues the same appendix opened by A.1 (p.125), whose scope statement — reproduced verbatim there — covers "the TSX-101A/F, G (Aquilion 8-, 16-slice systems) gantry/couch interlock mechanisms." That sentence is not repeated within this excerpt (p.129-133). A.4 also does not itself call out a control-unit variant the way A.2/A.3 do; since the position diagrams and master interlock table this section's checks exercise (A.2/A.3, in the sibling atom) are given for the CBTB-016A and CBTB-016B control-unit variants only within this appendix, read A.4's checks as scoped to those same two variants unless confirmed otherwise against the printed appendix. Confirm the fitted control-unit variant before treating any specific mm/degree value below as applicable to a given gantry.
Personnel
1 technician · Basic-to-Intermediate — operate the gantry/couch operating-panel switches (UP, DOWN, +TILT, −TILT, IN, OUT, FAST IN, FAST OUT, AUTO HOME) and the Auto-set footswitch one at a time, read the HEIGHT/TILT/SLIDE indicators and switch lamps for the stated pass response, use the operating panel's couch-top free mode, and issue one console command to move the couch top a specified distance (200 mm). No meter, jig, or disassembly is called out in source for this appendix's checks themselves — the skill is knowing what each interlock is supposed to do and reading the indicator/lamp response correctly. (Skill assessment derived from the procedure content — not an OEM-stated skill level.)
