Back up, restore and format site information on MO with the Backup Tool
Launch the Backup Tool from the Command Box to save the CT system's site information to a magneto-optical (MO) disk, restore it back in "Manual" mode, and format an MO disk for first use or reuse — the one utility this manual uses both before a software install and after one.
Applies to
Aquilion 16 (TSX-101A) — system software volume 2D260-074E*B, source p.64-67, covering source Chapter 5, sections 5.1 ("Startup and Termination") and 5.2 ("Functions and Details of Functions": save site information to MO, restore it in Manual mode, and format an MO disk) for the Backup Tool. Does not cover which site-information items are actually saved/restored — that is a separate section (5.2's item-catalog NOTE, p.68-72; see Related, toshiba-ct-aquilion16-software-backup-site-info-items), nor the separate calibration-data backup/restore procedure (5.3, p.73-76; see Related, toshiba-ct-aquilion16-software-backup-calibration-data).
Personnel
Basic — menu navigation ([Utility] > [Engineering], Engineering-mode password entry) and GUI selections (processing mode, MO directory/item lists, [Media Format]); no board-level work or physical tooling beyond handling the MO disk itself. (Skill assessment derived from procedure content — not an OEM-stated skill level.)
