What HC10835 means

On DryStar 5500 and DryStar 5503 CT systems, status code HC10835 indicates: Fourth output tray position sensor S28 not connected or malfunctioning. The code originates in the Output Sorter Module — Position Sensors section of the Output Sorter Module. Severity level alarm (Alarm).

Reported action: Check the connections to S28, then connector P30 on the MEC board, then the wiring between S28 and MEC/P30 with a multimeter, fixing whatever is not OK. If the wiring is good, power off the printer and replace S28; if the fault stays, the MEC board itself has to be replaced..

Raised on the DryStar 5500/5503 output sorter module when the fourth output tray position sensor S28 is not connected or is malfunctioning. The printer shows "Call service".
