Replace the 42-kW HFG (CXXG-010A)
Replace one of the two field-replaceable chassis of the 42-kW X-ray high-frequency generator (HFG) mounted on the rotation base: the AC/CONTROL chassis (Part 1) or the HV/INVERTER CATHODE chassis (Part 2). Both are swapped the same way — index the rotation section under the X-ray tube replacement jig, rig the chassis on a chain block, unbolt it, and mount the replacement — but each is its own inde

Safety
Hazard: Gantry front cover left unsupported, or lifted inadvertently, after opening
Consequence: Supporting poles fall and the cover closes suddenly under its own weight — injury
Avoidance: Support the open front cover with two supporting poles at the rear; use the poles correctly
Hazard: Removing a rotation-section part (AC/CONTROL or HV/INVERTER CATHODE chassis) without the rotation mechanical stopper engaged
Consequence: Weight imbalance causes the rotation section to rotate suddenly, catching and seriously injuring a worker
Avoidance: Engage the rotation mechanical stopper of the rotation drive section before removing the part; hold the rotation section firmly while pulling out the stopper
Hazard: Wire or chain block used to rig the chassis is damaged or otherwise unsound
Consequence: Damage to the system or units if the suspended chassis drops or swings uncontrolled
Avoidance: Confirm there are no problems with the wire and chain block before loading them; hold the chassis firmly while removing its securing bolts
