Perform TH Resistor Check

Run the Resistor Check when wet — and, if needed, dry — cleaning of the thermal head (TH) hasn't cleared vertical stripes and the Figure 7 decision flow sends you here: it's a software-gated escalation step, available only on SW builds newer than 2.X_C1, that sits between TH cleaning and TH profile calibration on the way to a possible "Replace TH" call.

Applies to
Drystar 5300, Type 5365/100 (source Chapter 3.6, Repair and Service: Adjustments and calibrations, Edition 1, Revision 7, 2006-01-26) — Figure 7 escalation step within §3.2 "Check for dust stripes / TPH Cleaning Procedure." Available only for SW > 2.X_C1; on SW < 2.X_C1 this step is skipped entirely (per source).
Personnel
1 technician · Service-level technician — reached only after wet cleaning (and, if needed, dry cleaning) of the thermal head (TH) have failed to clear vertical stripes on the Figure 7 decision flow; runs the Resistor Check from the Service Command Session's service menu and reads the flowchart's own "Resistor Check okay?" pass/fail decision. Available only on SW builds newer than 2.X_C1 — on older builds this step is skipped outright, and the technician moves straight to TH profile calibration. Source gives no further procedural detail (what the check actually measures, how a "not okay" reading is interpreted, or what precedes/follows this action on-screen) beyond the menu path and the flowchart's own decision box (derived — source does not assign a formal skill-level label to this section).
