Perform Film Calibration
Run the DryStar 5300's film calibration whenever the printed Dmax has drifted, after a Thermal print head (TPH) swap, or simply on the automatic schedule — then read the result against the target-Dmax table for the densitometer configured on the printer.

Personnel
1 technician · Basic — start the calibration from the Key-operator menu, read the printed calibration film's measured Dmax against the target-Dmax table for the configured densitometer, and recognize the pass / auto-retry / "calibration failed" outcomes. No disassembly or special test equipment; an external densitometer is only needed if you go on to Troubleshooting (derived — source does not assign a formal skill-level label to this section).
