Change the patient couch vertical stop positions
Fine-tune where the patient couch top's vertical (height) travel is stopped, by repositioning the height-detection photosensor for the stop position you need to change. These stop positions exist for safety — they are what keeps the couch top from interfering with a tilted gantry, from being driven in while already too low, or from over-traveling past its UP/DOWN limits.

Safety
Hazard: Adjusting the vertical-stop photosensor positions other than as instructed by the factory for the specific unit
Consequence: The stop positions no longer perform their safety function (preventing couch-top/gantry interference and over-travel at the UP/DOWN limits), and the procedure itself calls for only fine adjustment, not a large change
Avoidance: Perform this adjustment only according to instructions from the factory; do not attempt a large repositioning of any photosensor
Hazard: Moving a height-detection photosensor in the direction opposite the one indicated for the stop position being adjusted
Consequence: "Trouble will occur" (source's own wording — a fault in the affected stop position)
Avoidance: Loosen only the fixing screw of the selected sensor and move it in the indicated direction; never move it the opposite way
