Replace the Thermal print head unit

Swap the DryStar 5300's Thermal print head unit (spare part CM+343334.X) by working behind the Top cover and the Hold-down bracket, unplugging 5 connectors, and loosening 2 screws that lock the unit in place.

Applies to
DryStar 5300 (Type 5365/100)
Personnel
1 technician · Basic-to-intermediate field-service skill — open the Top cover and the Hold-down bracket, unplug 5 connectors (A-E), open the Thermal print head unit itself, then loosen 2 screws (F, one per side) to lift the unit out. No calibration, software step, or special test equipment is involved, and — unlike the TPH flat cable procedure worked in the same area — this one does not require the Front cover, Right side cover, Main board, or Power supply to be removed first.
