Replace the Input sensors module

Swap the DryStar 5300's Input sensors module (spare part CM+343342.X) by working behind the Front and Left side covers, then through the Drum belt, Main drive pulley, Hold-down bracket, and Thermal print head unit to reach a single connector and screw.

Applies to
Drystar 5300, Type 5365/100 (source Chapter 3.5, Replacement of Parts §4.2 'Input sensors module', Edition 1 Revision 7, 2005-08-05) — removal/re-installation procedure for the Input sensors module, spare part CM+343342.X. This is the module the error catalogue designates MOD10 (see Related).
Personnel
1 technician · Field-service skill for a nested mechanical swap: take off two covers (Front, Left side — by reference to §1.1/§1.3), mark and remove the Drum belt, remove the Main drive pulley (single screw A), open the Hold-down bracket and the Thermal print head unit, then unplug one connector (A) and remove one screw (B) to free the module itself. No calibration or software step is called for. The one detail that has to be gotten right is the Drum belt's running-direction mark, made with a waterproof pen before removal and matched again on reinstall (derived emphasis — source states the fact but does not label it a formal skill requirement).

Safety

NOTICE

Hazard: Mounting the Drum belt with its running-direction mark facing the wrong way (not matching the mark made before removal)

Consequence: Possible image artifacts — 17 mm banding — if the belt is mounted the wrong way (source, Re-installation step 10, p.347, Figure 196)

Avoidance: Mark the belt's outside face with a waterproof pen before removing it (Removal step 4, p.342, Figure 183), and re-mount it with that same mark facing outside (Re-installation step 10, p.347, Figure 196) so the running direction stays the same
