Setting Up Logical Printers (DICOM Print SCP)
Configure more than one DICOM Print SCP server — each with its own Called AE title — on the DryStar 5300 when a single connected modality (or a single PACS workstation) sends images from more than one application that need different printer-side settings.
Applies to
Drystar 5300, Type 5365 — source Chapter 1, "Controls, Connections and Set Up Procedures," Edition 1, Revision 10 (2006-01-26), §7.2 "Logical Printers Set-up," document p.59-63 (chapter-relative footers "Chapter 1/27" through "Chapter 1/31"). Applies whenever a single connected modality (or a single PACS workstation acting on behalf of more than one modality) needs the printer to distinguish between applications that require different print settings.
Personnel
1 technician · Basic-to-intermediate: browser navigation to the DICOM profile editor, understanding of DICOM AE titles/ports/associations, and — for the two-printer worked example — creating a second DICOM Host Profile with locked Kernel/interpolation settings. Source explicitly calls for coordinating the Kernel-checkbox-lock decision with the modality service engineer and/or the customer (p.63) before applying it. No hardware disassembly, calibration, or film handling is involved. Source assigns no formal skill-level label to this section (derived).
