Malfunction of control system data communication — MUDAT ROTSOT/SOTROT fault tree (Data Transmission)

Use this page when the console displays "A data transmission section error occurred." This fault tree walks from that message to a specific abnormal PWB (OPCONTA, GCIFA, RPDM, SOT, or ROT) or a cable-connection problem, using the built-in MUDAT ROTSOT/SOTROT tests and the two PWB loopback tests (OPCONTA test, GCIFA test) already defined in the data-transfer test-tool reference (Related).

Applies to
Activion16 (TSX-031A). Volume 2, Data Transmission Unit chapter, §3.5.2. Source does not call out a hardware-generation-specific variant of this fault tree — it applies to the OPCONTA/GCIFA/MUDAT data-transfer path as described throughout the chapter.
