Set the GCIFA tube-position switches for a Disable (non-rotation) scan
Configure the GCIFA position switches before running a Disable (non-rotation) scan from the DCA. Because gantry rotation is not performed during a Disable scan, the MUDAT position data that the OPCONTA would normally receive from the KGTSM (via the GCIFA, in step with gantry rotation — see the IF-unit operating principle, Related) simply does not exist. This procedure substitutes a manual position
Applies to
Activion16 (TSX-031A) data transfer section (OPCONTA/GCIFA/GCIFA-D2, MUDAT link). Used only when running a Disable (non-rotation) scan via the DCA — i.e., when the gantry is deliberately not rotating and the normal KGTSM-generated MUDAT position data (§3.3.2(4)) cannot be obtained. No further model- or revision-specific restriction is stated in source for this subsection.
