Perform the SW 2.0.0_C1 upgrade via CF card (regular path)
Upgrade a DryStar 5300 from SW Release 1.8X (or 1.9X) to SW 2.0.0_C1 by walking the printer's own key-operator menu through a CF-card install — the CF-card path Agfa itself recommends, an approximately 24-minute, largely unattended process that cannot be reversed once started.
Safety
Hazard: Some of the printer's boards are programmed during the software installation.
Consequence: If that reprogramming is interrupted by switching the printer off mid-install, the board involved can be left in an inconsistent state; the parallel emergency-upgrade section of this corpus documents such a board becoming unusable. This section does not itself spell out the failure mode. (consequence derived)
Avoidance: Do not switch off the printer during the software installation; let it run through to the automatic reset and "Ready."
