ADVP — DICOM Test Tool

ADVP is a free Windows utility — downloaded from the MedNet GSO Library — that acts as a DICOM Print SCU in place of the host modality, sending a test image straight to the DryStar 5300 over the network so you can check the printer's DICOM interface on its own.

Applies to
DryStar 5300 (Type 5365/100) — source Chapter 3.2 "Machine specific tools, software tools and auxiliary means," §2.7 "ADVP," document pp.152-153.
Personnel
1 technician · Basic — install/run a Windows freeware utility, pick a handful of menu options, and fill in two network fields (AE Title, IP address); no disassembly, measurement, or code interpretation. Assumes the PC is already reachable on the same network as the printer — see [Connecting the Service PC to the Web Pages](agfa-dry-drystar5300-sw-web-pages-connection-network-proxy-setup) for that prerequisite if the printer isn't reachable yet (derived — that atom covers the general network/IP prerequisite, not ADVP itself, which this section does not itself describe how to set up).
