TH Driver Banding, Drop & Intermittent Drop
Three visually different line faults in the STI2 test image — a persistent dark line, a persistent blank line, and an intermittent blank line — all trace back to the same cause and the same fix: a defective thermal-head (TH) driver, corrected by replacing the Thermal Head.
Applies to
DryStar 5300 (Type 5365/100)
Personnel
1 technician · Basic — visual pattern match against the STI2 test image, then a label/infocounter check to identify the TH type before ordering the replacement part; the TH replacement itself is a separate procedure.
