Sporadic Banding - Pickup Motor Homing (SW Fix)

If banding only shows up in a flatfield print — never in the clinical image — on just a handful of printers, don't chase the print-drum drive: check the installed SW release, because a pickup-motor homing-timing bug below SW 1.93_C1 is the documented cause, and it's fixed by a software patch, not a mechanical repair.

Applies to
DryStar 5300 (Type 5365/100)
Personnel
1 technician · Basic — check the printer's installed SW release against 1.93_C1 and install the SW patch if it's older; no disassembly, measurement, or mechanical diagnosis is called for by this entry (derived — source does not assign a formal skill-level label to this section).
