What HC10820 means

On DryStar 5500 (Type 5364/100) and DryStar 5503 (Type 5364/300) CT systems, status code HC10820 indicates: MDM home position sensor S7 not connected or malfunctioning. The code originates in the MDM Module — Home Position Sensor (S7) section of the MDM / Densitometer Module. Severity level alarm (Alarm).

Reported action: Check the connections to S7 and reconnect or replace the connector if faulty; check connector P30 on the MEC board and reconnect or replace if faulty; check the wiring from S7 to MEC/P30 with a multimeter and fix it if faulty. If the wiring is good, power off the printer and replace sensor S7; if the fault remains, the sensor function on the MEC board has failed and the MEC board has to be replaced..

Raised on the Drystar 5500/5503 MDM (macrodensitometer) module when the home position sensor S7 is not connected or is malfunctioning. The printer shows "Calibration module not working".
