MRIQ Severe Structured Horizontal White-noise Band Artifacts.
Symptom
MRIQ Severe Structured Horizontal White-noise and Dark Band Artifacts on Profile See Long Description Structured horizontal white-noise band artifacts in all images on all PSD’s. Artifact was severe in intensity and happened on all coils (see image; 904264mrp 50442ser9ima1 gradients on). Also getting intermittent dark bands and fine line (see RF_Shield_artifacts attachment). Power & Grounding Team found issues with facility grounds; loose and corroded connections at the Main Disconnect and building transformer. Building is shared with a metal fabricator business and a CT scanner. Fixing the grounds reduced noise but had no effect on the banding.
