The configuration file ~sdc/app-defaults/network/dcs.cfg is preconfigured for 1 hour DICOM association timeout.
Symptom
Scanner will stop sending images after an hour, then wait 3 minutes, and start sending the exam again from the beginning causing an endless loop. See Long Description PQR 13113964: Customer comments are below. Problem is the scanner will stop sending images after an hour, then wait 3 minutes, and start send the study again from the beginning causing an endless loop. These studies can contain more than 20k images, some series as high as 11k images. Customer: I am investigating an issue with very large research studies getting stuck in the send queue on our MR scanners. It appears that the scanner is closing the association after one hour then starting to resend the study from the beginning. This eventually causes the study to fail sending in its entirety into PACS because eventually it times out while sending duplicates and never gets to the last images in the study. Do you know if it is possible to change the Maximum amount of time to keep a DICOM association open on the scanners?
