Future BRM Gradients 2124499-7 & 2124499-3 have been modified in the region of aluminum support plate attachment (2213167-3 & 2213168-3) See Long Description and Attachment. Effectivity: BRM Gradient Coils Shipped after 09 November 2006 Problem Description: Future BRM Gradients 2124499-7 & 2124499-3 have been modified in the region of aluminum support plate attachment (2213167-3 & 2213168-3). Prior to November 2006, eight M10 fasteners were used to attach the aluminum support plates to the gradients, See Figure 1. To simplify the plate attachment and save substantial Milling Machine cycle time in Monterrey, Mexico, the plate attachment was reduced to four hole locations, See Figure 2. The extended slots were simplified to drilled & counter bored holes to increase the FRP support surrounding the fastener locations. (See Attachment for the complete SMILe released 11/10/2006.
