The FE had the cables attached to the shim supply and the magnet room door was not closed so the RF leak picked up by the UTNS antenna cut off receive signal.
Symptom
Auto prescan fails while performing supercon shim The manual prescan showed very erratic signal which sometimes had a normal prescan but often flatlined or jumped up and down
Error message
