IBIS Fails for LVShim, IBIS is Applying the Wrong LVShim Spec to Determine Pass/Fail.
Symptom
IBIS Fails for LVShim, But My Site Passes the Customer Acceptance Specification for LVShim See Long Description In the current revision (5.9, 01/03/2007) Direction 5133315-1 Signa EXCITE HD 1.5T Service Methods, in the "IBIS Specifications" document located under the PM tab, the IBIS LVShim "Criteria for passing" is listed as being "Must meet Customer Acceptance values in following links TRM-whole, TRM-zoom)". By following the link to "TRM-whole, TRM-zoom" (the link is to the LVShim specification for "BRM TRMWB (Whole Body)", so it apparently applies to BRM systems also, which pertains to this site, there is no other link given), the 1.5T specification for "SII, SIII, SIV" Magnet Type (this site has an SIII magnet) is given in terms of "Shim to Goal/Customer Acceptance", with the latter being a less stringent specification. The spec is given as "<10/35" for the Harmonic Name "1,0 (Z1)". This site's data for this harmonic was 13.3, so it fails the "Shim to Goal" specification but passes the "Customer Acceptance" specification. So why is IBIS failing for my site? It is passing the published IBIS specification. PQR # 13096582
