ACGD to HFD-S M3000PT and M3000PW Upgrade Kits - Fiber Optic Cable Bundle Wrong Size See Long Description Subject: ACGD to HFD-S M3000PT and M3000PW Upgrade Kits - Fiber Optic Cable Bundle Wrong Size. Problem: The fiber optic cable bundle (p/n 5133379) that is included with the HFD-S upgrade kit was structured with the wrong dimensions such that you will not be able to install it without modification. 30 of these kits were shipped to the field before engineering identified this problem. Until the correct cable is received from the supplier, kits will ship under deviation with a modified version of the fiber optic cable. Effectivity: There are two effectivities for this SMILe: 1) 30 kits were shipped with a fiber optic bundle of incorrect diameter. If your site has a fiber optic cable that will not fit through J21 of the Systems Cabinet I/O panel, follow the instructions attached as item 1 in the Resolution below (see attachments in Resolution). 2) Many kits will ship under deviation with a modified version of the cable. If your kit arrives with instructions as to how to connect the fiber optic cable, you are being shipped a deviated cable. These instructions are attached as item 2 in the Resolution below (see attachments in Resolution). SMILe 4/12/05
