Early Hypertronix A Connector in EXCITE HD Systems Has A Misaligned Transmit Pin.

Symptom

Early Hypertronix A Connector in EXCITE HD Systems Has A Misaligned Transmit Pin. See Long Description. Subject: Early Hypertronix A Connector in EXCITE HD Systems Has A Misaligned Transmit Pin. Effectivity: All Excite HD systems that were received prior to March 11, 2005. Problem: An issue was discovered with the Hypertronix A connector. The transmit pin might not be properly aligned. This results in the need to apply excessive force to remove transmit/receive coils from the connector. At this time we do not have production transmit/receive coils that use the "A" connector, however, new transmit/receive coils that use this connector are scheduled to ship starting April 22. An FMI (60695, Hypertronix A Connector Replacement) is being generated which will replace the Hypertronix A connector at the affected sites. SMILe 4/12/05
