Symptom

3 D spin fails to complete its test spin 3-d test does not complete its test spin. check the movements of the gantry per this instruction After the spin test completes, you have to stay on the test button until it goes all the way back to the start position at Patient right side to settle the gantry to start the high speed spin. Another possibility could be that you may be getting some counts from another position of the gantry or the table, everything has to stay absolutely still during the spin. Check that your L belt isn't loose and the table isn't moving, things like that. Could put scope on encoder and pot test points for each axis that should be stationary to see if it is getting any encoder pulses or changes in pot voltage. Another possibiliy is any gantry positioon not reaching the anticipated positon in software. Example the SID is set at 120CM, if it varies more than a half a CM from this there will be an errro created in the Spin3DCalib.log on the AWW. etc. Checking the positoner CPU trace is another good toubleshooting tip. Gantry moves to: II SID = 120 cm L-arm = 0 degrees C-arc (Caudal) = 0 degrees Pivot (RAO) = 111 degrees TV Camera = 0 degrees Pivot (RAO) drives to: 108 degrees System ready for 3D spin… (release the test button on the TSSC) During the actual acquisition 3D spin, the Pivot drives from 108 degrees RAO to 96 degrees LAO during the Mask acquisition phase, then moves back to 108 degrees RAO, and then drives to 96 degrees LAO for the Subtraction acquisition phase.
