Impacted systems: Advantx–E, Innova monoplane and biplane. PURPOSE/SYMPTOM A premature locking of the water coupling rotation can occur, leading to a water leakage in the Carc sleeve. This failure can be increased by the presence of the stiffener rod. In order to prevent this problem from happening, new water hoses have been implemented on Monoplane and Biplane forward production. This has been implemented on May 2009 in Buc Mfg. Flexible water hoses are backward compatible on the Installed Base and replace some actual FRU. RECOMMENDATIONS 1. The stiffener shall NOT be installed on any system that is equipped with the water coupling (2184070-2 “RP ROTATING GASKET”). This applies to Monoplane & Biplane systems produced after 24–Oct-2008. This can also happen for monoplane systems produced before November 2007, which did not have the stiffener. 2. The stiffener shall be installed ONLY with the flexible water hoses (5332506 “FRU Kit Swivel Elbow-V2 + Water Hose” & 5332507 “Ulysse Water Hose”). Flexible water hoses FRU REPLACEMENT The flexible water hoses are located at the same place as the original system (see picture below). It is backward compatible on the Installed Base. The flexible water hoses Part Number are 5332506 and 5332507. They replace current Part Numbers 2129844, 2129844-2, 2349492, 2349497, 2184070, 2184070-2, and 5304327. These parts will not continue to be used for the Installed Base. Two flexible hoses replace 1 “rotating gasket” + 1 “assembly rigid water hose” + 2 “flexible water hoses with tube coupling”
