Symptom
Unable to Run /sbin/mii-tool with error Permission denied See Long Description I'm trying to run the "mii-tool" as the root user and it will not run. This command is found in directory /sbin on the system and is used to report the network characteristics of the system. When I try to run the tool I get the results as shown below. I've tried running it as the sdc user also with the same results. This tool used to work. What's wrong? [root@lx-bay11a /sbin]# mii-tool -v eth0 /sbin/mii-tool: Permission denied. I also tried running it by specifying the path, see below. [root@lx-bay11a ~]# /sbin/mii-tool -v eth0 /sbin/mii-tool: Permission denied.
