SN4881 Omega, use of lubricant products on the tables
Symptom
SN4881 Omega, use of lubricant products on the tables SN4881 Omega use of lubricant products on the tables Rev. 1 5342640-8EN. You can need to clean and grease the rail in case of dust or other debris. In this case and in this case only, you can relubricate them using the dedicated kit 5337718 SN4881 Omega use of lubricant products on the tables Rev. 1 5342640-8EN APPLIES TO All Omega V and Omega IV tables PURPOSE/SYMPTOM Some of the table rotational brake holding forces are found insufficient, such that during patient transfer the table can rotate, even with the brakes locked. PROBLEM The effort needed to rotate the table with brakes locked is measured and verified for each table at Buc mfg line. The braking effort is directly linked to the friction coefficient between the brake and the rotation plate. Following site investigations, it appears that some oil or grease are added to the longitudinal rails in order to decrease the panning effort. This grease flowing down to the rotational plate lower surface and will significantly decrease the coefficient of friction, reducing the braking effort. SOLUTION DO NOT USE GREASE OR OIL OR ANY LUBRICANT PRODUCT ON THE TABLES. FEs are not supposed to add grease, oil or any lubricant on the table rails. The quantity of grease is defined and applied during Mfg phases. If you estimate that the panning effort of the table is too high: 1. Check that you have the pre-tilt (1.5 mm or 0.06") inserted between the table and the floor at the two front bolts of the table base. 2. Check the tabletop mounting. 3. Change the rails. You can need to clean and grease the rail in case of dust or other debris. In this case and in this case only, you can relubricate them using the dedicated kit 5337718.
