SN4694, POSITIONER LOCK / UNLOCK SET UP FOR OLD STYLE TSUI

SN4694, POSITIONER LOCK / UNLOCK SET UP FOR OLD STYLE TSUI PURPOSE/symptom Field Engineer needs to edit a Pos CPU database location (507) on the Pos CPU when Innova SP1 Unity SW is loaded on a Innova system with the Older style TSUIs, non IQpack, (blue colored rubber joystick style). PROBLEM There is a button on the smart box / smart handle new style (brushed aluminium joystick) allowing locking gantry and table motions. Prior SP1 release, If the operator locks the Positioner from the Smart box / smart handle, the Positioner switches to Unlock after a reset, as it should restore the Lock/Unlock state. From SP1 software release, the lock button status is stored in a new NVRAM entry of the Positioner CPU. This change will allow restoring the Positioner Lock/Unlock state after a reset (0: Unlock or 1: Lock). Problem: If this parameter is set at 1 per default (Lock state), gantry and table will be locked at the first boot without the possibility to unlock for systems with TSUI old style (blue colored rubber joystick) since there is no Lock/Unlock button on this model. Procedure When installing Unity SP1 SW: Set Location 507 for a 0 To edit a DB location: 1. Boot into DL service. 2. Open PST (positioner service tool) 3. Select: Configuration->Configure->Advanced (radio button) 4. Scroll down to Address 507 with the downward arrow. 5. Tab over to the value column, use backspace to delete the current number and enter the 0 that you require, then hit the enter key again so the cursor drops to location 508's value field. 6. Click Close button. 7. Quit PST and reboot into applications, Finalization Functionally test your positioner and the movement enable feature or lack of it.
