Spatial Distortion on the VIBRANT 3D Data sets When Using Zoom Gradient Coil due to Gradient Field Non-linearity Which is Uncorrected in 3D Data sets.

Symptom

MRIQ Spatial Distortion on the VIBRANT 3D Datasets When Using Zoom Gradient Coil See Long Description and Attachment The concern was raised that there was a spatial distortion issue when using the Zoom coil for VIBRANT breast imaging. An investigation was performed (see attached document) to explore the spatial differences on multiple data sets from multiple sites, including in house. It was concluded that there is a spatial distortion on the 3D data sets when using the zoom coil. The distortion appears worse in the sagittal plane vs. the axial plane. iTrak # 13138614. For complete details see Attachment. Note: The latest version of this document may be found as an attachment to iTrak # 13138614.
