Sn4609 cardiac collimator rectangular blades visible, rev. 2; innova 2000. 2 PURPOSE: INFORM FIELD ENGINEERS OF THE OBSOLESCENCE OF THE FW UPGRADE KIT # 5150400. PROPOSE ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION. 3 ORIGINAL PROBLEM: IN SOME CONDITIONS, I.E. AT THE END OF A LIFT MOVEMENT AT FULL SPEED, THE MAXIMUM OPEN POSITION OF THE RECTANGULAR BLADES BECOMES WRONG (1 CM OR MORE INSIDE FOV). THE BLADES CAN MOVE INSIDE THIS POSITION, BUT CANNOT GO OVER. THIS ISSUE OCCURS MAINLY WITH THE LONGITUDINAL PAIR OF BLADES. AFTER RESET THE BLADES PARKING POSITION IS RESTORED. THE DRIFT WAS DUE TO AN UNSUFFICIENT MAINTAIN CURRENT OF THE STEPPING MOTORS. A NEW FW WAS DESIGNED TO INCREASE THE CURRENT, AVAILABLE THRU THE KIT #5150400 4 UPDATE - SOLUTION: 225 kits were manufactured by Siemens upon GE request in a single batch. All kits have been used on the field and the main component is obsolete. Therefore it’s not possible to deliver this kit anymore. In case of reoccurrence of this issue on the field with collimator 2237071 or 2237071-2, the solution is to replace the collimator by the version 2237071-3. Copyright ©
