Replace the TPH flat cable
Remove and reinstall the TPH flat cable that runs between the Main board side and the Thermal print head (TPH) plug — section 2.4 of the DryStar 5300's Replacement of Parts chapter. Reaching the cable is unusually involved: four other replacement procedures (Front cover §1.1, Right side cover §1.2, Main board §2.6, Power supply unit §2.7) have to be worked through first, before the Hold-down bracket and Thermal print head unit are opened and the cable becomes accessible.
