Bennett Silhouette SE Source Charger Board F1 / F2 Fuse

Symptom

Silhouette SE Source Charger Board F1/F2 Fuse. Full description of problem contained in Resolution Long Description. SEE LONG DESCRIPTION Fuse F2 or F1 on Source: Charger boards A11 or A14 blow and new fuse blows immediately on replacement regardless if unit is turned on or not. The .1 mfd 600v capacitor across the main battery relay was partially shorted. (labelled C26, C27, C28, C29 depending which of the 4 battery banks it is associated with.) The original symptom was a "KVP-C" error during high technique exposures. Battery voltage drops below acceptable level because Source Charger can't recharge battery following exposure. LED DS 6 flashes 1 or 2 per second (just as if battery was fully charged and voltage measured at Tp 3 or Tp4 is at spec. Measure battery voltage at the Right hand side of the main relay to ground. Should be 204 to 206 nominally at full charge. There is no GE part number for the 0.1 mfd 600V mylar capicator. Purchase locally. Also need 2 diodes 1N4005.
