Symptom

XQi, XRd, XRd2X, Def8000, AMX700 Ion Chambers are different from previous systems (XRd and XRd2X). The new ion chambers contain less lead than in the past. This is part of an ongoing effort to remove lead from our products. See long description: The new ion chambers contain less lead than in the past. This is part of an ongoing effort to remove lead from our products. The change in lead content results in a change in the kVp dependency in the AEC design. For this reason the old and new ion chambers are not interchangeable. The model number of the new ion chamber is: AID part number INX247 GE Part number 5143310 The AEC calibration of the balance and sensitivity for this ion chamber is to be done with the grid removed. Previous XR/d and XR/d-2x systems calibrated the ion chambers with the grid in place.
