For this reason the old and new ion chambers are not interchangeable. The model number of the new ion chamber is: AID part number INX247 GE Part number 5143310 The AEC calibration of the balance and sensitivity for this ion chamber is to be done with the grid removed. Previous XR/d and XR/d-2x systems calibrated the ion chambers with the grid in place.
