XQi, XRd, XRd2X, Def8000, AMX700 DEI value is calculated based on the valid area of an image (after auto-shuttering by the ICED algorithm). · If auto-shuttering incorrectly hides anatomy, the reported DEI value may be much higher than expected. If auto-shuttering is incorrect or if shielding and/or metallic prosthesis exists in the image, the DEI value may be wrong. · If auto-shuttering does not shutter collimated regions of the image, the DEI value may be much lower than expected. · If large-area shielding and/or metallic prosthesis are present in the image, the reported DEI value may be much lower than expected.
