XQi, XRd, XRd2X, Def8000, AMX700 Kodak DirectView PACS v4.3 applies windowing globally for a patient to both DX and CR images. See long description: If a patient is imaged in an exam in an XR/d room (or XR/d-2x, or Definium 8000) with both DX and CR-cassette images, the CR images may appear on PACS with low contrast. This is because Kodak PACS, by default, applies one window-level (WC/WW) set of values to all images for an exam. So if DX images appear in the exam with WC/WW values of 8192/16383 and CR images appear with WC/WW values of 500/1000, then all images may appear with the values of 8192/16383. Obviously if these values are applied to CR images, then they will have very low contrast and appear dark. This only happens to patients with exam images from CR and DX. Typically, the problem is only noticed when the radiologist reviews the images on PACS.
