Symptom
XRd2X Dual-Energy bone images may appear to have a grid line or Moiré artifact. This occurs most commonly when the images are viewed on a Review monitor at less than 100% magnification. In other words, if the images are shrunk to less than 1:1 ratio. The problem is especially noticeable at 50% magnification on PACS. When the images are viewed minified, the grid lines can create a Moiré artifact. This often looks like a low-frequency pattern across the image. The artifact usually runs across the image (vertical bands).
