Revolution XQi, XRd, XRd2X, Def8000, AMX700 More difficult to window-level an image with Burn-on-Send than No-Burn

Symptom

XQi, XRd, XRd2X, Def8000, AMX700 Images sent as Burn-on-Send are more difficult to window-level than images sent as No-Burn. Images sent as Burn-on-Send have a large spread of pixel values. See long description: For example, an image sent as Burn-on-Send will have a WC=8192 and a WW=16383. The majority of pixel values may cover a range of 4000-12000. The same image sent as No-Burn may have a WC=3000 and a WW=5000. The pixel values cover a smaller range of 2000-4000. For the user (radiologist) to change the brightness by 10%, the user must change the WC from 8192 to 8992 (change of 800 levels) for Burn-on-Send images, while the user must change the WC from 3000 to 3300 (change of 300 levels) for No-Burn images. Because the user must change the WC by more than 2x as much, the complaint is that it is harder to window-level the image.
