Drive Issues with portable unit
Symptom
Intermittent drive issues Some newer AMX4+ units have been encountered that make a scuffing noise when driven, especially at lower speeds and particularly when going around a corner. The problem lies with the drive motor mount bolts being tightened down too much from new, preventing belt tensioning springs from normal operation. After usage for a few months the belts stretch slightly, and the noise is actually the drive belt slipping on the pulleys.
